In the name of God, Amen.

I James Gunn Senr of Nottoway County, being weak of body, but sound in mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made, in manner and form following, vizt. first I give and bequeath to my son Spencer Gunn all my land lying on white oak creek in the County of Dinwiddie, including the one half of the water Grist Mill with the appurtenances thereof, containing by estimation five hundred acres, be the same more or less and I also give the said Spencer Gunn the following Negroes, vizt. Kitt, Molly, and Daniel, to him and his heirs forever --

Item, I give and bequeath to my son Griffin Gunn the following Negroes, land and to wit, Peter, Amey, Little David, and Job, Citty and her child, Aaron, and Aggy and their increase, also one hundred acres of land whereon my son Elisha Gunn formerly lived, known by the name of Maye's old place, to be made up one hundred acres of my own old tract, added thereto, with a straight line made from Mill's line, to Jordan's line branch, the line to be directed by any two or three good freeholders, and also my still to him and his heirs forever.

Item, I lend to my daughter Polly Bradshaw, the following negroes to wit, Betty and Zelph, and at her death, I give what I have lent to her and their increase, (sic) to her children equally and their heirs forever.
Item I give to my grandson, Gabriel Garner Gunn Bradshaw, one negro boy named Nelson, to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my son Elisha Gunn, twenty shillings and all of mine, that he has in possession, to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Edith Vaughan, twenty shillings, and all of mine that she has in possession to her and her heirs forever

Item, I give and bequeath to my son, James Gunn all of mine he has in possession to him and his heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Salley Wilks

all of mine she has in her possession and also I give her one negroe girl named Pamelia, and her increase to her and her heirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Jamima Williams,

all of mine she has in her possession, and also, one negro boy to her and her heirs forever.
Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Caty Zachary,

twenty shillings and all that she has of mine in her possession to her and her heirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my son, William Gunn,

twenty shillings and all of mine that he has in his possession to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my son Gabriel Gunn

all my land in the fork of Nottoway and one fourth part of the tract of land I now live on, except that part that I have given to my son Griffin Gunn, agreeable to quantity and quality, and also the following Negroes to wit: Johnston, Thomson, Creasey, Henry, David, Sarah, Cola, and Patience; and every part of my estate that is not mentioned in the Will, I also give unto my son, Gabriel Gunn to him and his heirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my sons Griffin and Gabriel Gunn and my daughters Henrietta Thweatt,

Equally among them the whole of my stock of every kind, the household and kitchen furniture of every sort and kind. Plantation utensils of every sort and kind, and also the whole of my crop of every sort and kind, to enable them to pay my just debts, which I hereby require of them by this Will to do. I also give them equally all my outstanding debts, either by bond, or open account to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly my will and desire is that there be no appraisement on my estate/

I also appoint and nominate my sons, Griffin Gunn and Gabriel Gunn, and my son-in-law, Ephram Thweatt executors of this my last Will and Testament.

3rd day of April, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seven.
