| Caroline County, Virginia Will Book 30 Page 615 cgm note: Sarah E. Burruss was the daughter of John Burruss and his second wife, Priscilla Luck. She was born circa 1844. Men mentioned in this bond were John Burruss, the son of Thomas Burruss and Knelly Bibb. Thomas P. Burruss and John S(amuel) Burruss were her brothers. Know all men by these present that we John Burruss and John S. Burruss are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one thousand dollars to the payment of which well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 12th day of November 1860. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the said John Burruss who has been appointed by the County Court of Caroline County guardian of Sallie E. Burruss, and Thomas P. Burruss, his children over the age of fourteen years. Shall faithfully discharge the duties of his said office. Thru this obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. Signed John S.
